breaking overinght... police are looking for whoever shot and pistol whipped a man in a victory parkway apartment.it happened just around eleven last night at the alms apartments.police tell us the man was shot in the leg.he was taken to u-c medical center... and is expected to be okay. today former judge tracie hunter will once again stand trail on ethics charges that forced her from the bench.it's a heated subject... supporters made their feelings known during yesterday's mlk event at music hall.nine on your side's jordan burgess is live at the courthouse with what we could see today. in a few hours.. you will likely see many of those supporters here. possibly protesting on the courthouse steps.their message summed up by the n-a-a-c-p which in a statement calls this re-trial a waste of taxpayer dollars

we want to show you some of the video of the supporters of tracie hunter who were at the martin luther king junior program at music hall.. even interupting it at one point. hunter.. a juvenile court judge.. was first charged two years.the first trial in october of 2014 ended with one deadlocked on the other eight on that one conviction a few days ago.. and faces six months in jail. now all eyes are on the second trial that will start this morning on those other eight charges. that first trial went five weeks. a bizzare case today in hamilton county court... as a man will answer charges he got a dog out of the pound... in order to have it destroyed. police say jason dotson was ordered have his dog put down after it was deemed to be vicious.police say he went to

dog... and turned in that dog to be put down.we'll be in court this afternoon for his hearing. this morning... a man charged with a homicide over the weekend in avondale will be in court. derrell gover is charged with murder for that shooting friday night on alaska avenue.two men took immanuel scott to children's hospital that night with gunshot wounds.no word on a motive for that shooting. as family prepares to bury an ohio police officer who was shot and killed yesterday... this morning we are hearing the 9-1-1 call from the woman who tried to warn police. police.:05-:13danville cops... ...looking to kill a cop.that call came in just moments before officer thomas cottrell was killed.herschel jones is now behind bars. people in the small town of danville... just north of columbus... are in shock. this is close community. and everybody knew everybody and

trying to keep us safe. it scares me because that's my daughter's dream and i think it could've' been her. dispatchers tried to make contact with cottrell...one of just six danville officers, and when they couldn't ...it prompted the knox county sheriff's office to search the village. this morning... a man police say confessed to starting this fire in west price hill will be in court.people had to use bedsheets to escape the fire at the apartment complex on nebraska avenue.firefighters rescued others. others.johnny hammond now faces two counts of aggravated arson.he'll be arraigned this morning. breaking overnight... a westwood woman wakes up to find her kitchen on fire.she was cooking when she fell asleep on the couch. firefighters were able to get the fire under control.the woman is okay... but she is having to stay with neighbors this morning. the cold weather made things even tougher on firefighters

one was hurt after slipping on ice at this fire in bond hill. the fire started in the attic... but the cause has not been determined yet. the cold and ice also made this fire just off the brent spence bridge tough on firefighters.chopper 9 got this exclusive look at the scene.a van caught fire on the ramp to fort washington way. police are still looking for the owner of the van... who left the scene.firefighters slipped on the ramp... which froze over quickly. potter 1051 most of the guys are in really good shape, so you know, you just fall and you go back to doing your task, as long you didn't hurt yourself, sprain something. something.firefightrers handle car fires every day... but potter says fires on the highway are the most dangerous. this cold is really tough on our cars... and triple-a says it plans to be very busy again

tierney over the weekend. you'll remember karson was missing for many months before he was found as well. this morning the mayor of flint michigan is headed to washington.she's trying to get a disaster declaration because the city's water supply is contaminated with lead. president obama declared a federal emergency... but denied the disaster declaration.that means a difference of $90 million dollars.right now people in flint can get one case of bottled water a day. "i have a young baby at home and we been going out to my moms and dads to get water in jugs to bring it home to give him baths" baths"elevated levels of lead are already showing up in children in the area. this morning... music lovers are mourning the death of a michigan native who helped establish the california sound. sound.eagles founder gren frey died - at the age of 67. 67.take it easy.

center.right now u-s and iraqi officials are working together to find three american contractors missing in iraq. they're looking for them in a baghdad neighborhood.we've learned overnight they were kidnapped from an apartment thought to be a brothel.the missing men work for a security service company called sallyport. this morning -- round-the- clock efforts to find missing marines near hawaii -- have turned up life rafts -- but no bodies.a dozen marines went missing after two marine corps helicopters crashed last week. so far searchers have covered more than 150 miles.some debris turned up on shore -- but the marine corps hasn't said which parts were recovered.the coast guard says the search for possible survivors will continue for now. today cincinnati leaders will announce what they describe as the olympics of startups is coming to the queen city. city.it's called founder-con... this is video
